About Us

THE TRULY REPRESENTATIVE AND DEMOCRATIC VOICE OF THE TOWING    INDUSTRY IN SOUTH AFRICA

To all Tow Truckers. This is your National Towing Association

The United Towing Association of South Africa (UTASA) is a non-profit section 21 organisation governed by a representative body elected from the membership. “By the Towing Community for the Towing Community”
United Towing Association of South Africa (UTASA) was established in 2006 to address the struggle of excluded groups, as many of our members were of the opinion that their interests were not best served by any of the towing bodies in existence.

UTASA was also established as a unifying body for towers to addressing problems and finding solutions, to administer such action as might be deemed necessary to benefit the towing fraternity, to communicate with government agencies in all spheres of government, to work concertedly and vigorously toward improving the public image of the industry and attaining the professional status it deserves.

Towing companies also felt that the reins of power should not be concentrated in the hands of any individual but that the association should be democratic, representative and sensitive to the aspirations of all towers.

Tow Truck operators felt that by having an alternative association the opportunity for intimidation and dominance which was fast becoming a reality would dissipate.

The United Towing Association of South Africa presents an alternative to the public and insurance companies ensuring good governance and business practice.

United Towing Association of South Africa (UTASA) is a young body and we invite ideas from all concerned participants in the motoring industry that would help to better the service rendered to the South African motorist.

Any Tow Company concerned with the good of the industry, the public, motorist and mapping your future in life would certainly benefit by belonging to our association. It is important that you support the Association that is working for you as it is the only way to make your voice heard.
